Day 1: Arrival in Bagdogra - Scenic Drive to Gangtok
Welcome to the serene landscapes of the North East! Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, embark on a picturesque drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim nestled in the Eastern Himalayas. The journey offers breathtaking views of the Teesta River and lush valle ys. After check -in at your hotel, spend the evening at leisure strolling along MG Marg, the vibrant heart of Gangtok. Day 2: Full -Day Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
Today is dedicated to a high -altitude Himalayan adventu re. Post breakfast, gear up for an excursion to the stunning Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft) - a glacial lake surrounded by snow -capped peaks, followed by a visit to Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a revered site dedicated to an Indian Army soldier. (Note: Visit is subject to permit and weather conditions.) Return to Gangtok by evening. Optional visit to a local handicrafts center. Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 3: Gangtok to Darjeeling - Transfer Through Tea Estates
After breakfast, bid farewell to Gangtok and drive to D arjeeling - the 'Queen of the Hills.' En route, pass lush tea gardens and quaint hillside villages. Upon arrival, check -in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, enjoy a walk around the Chowrasta Mall or explore local cafes. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 4: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing - Toy Train Optional
Rise early for a spectacular sunrise at Tiger Hill (8,482 ft), offering panoramic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. En route back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast, explore Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, and the iconic Tenzing Rock. You can opt for a joyride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 5: Departure from Darjeeling to Bagdogra
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station. Depart with cherished memories of the misty Meghalaya hills and the spiritual embrace of Assam's heartland.
