Daywise itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Colombo - Scenic Drive to Kandy
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo and transfer to Kandy , the cultural heart of Sri Lanka (approx. 3.5 - 4 hrs). On the way, stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage for a heartwarming introduction to Sri Lanka's wildlife. Continue to Kandy and check in. In the evening, visit the iconic Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic , followed by a graceful Kandyan cultural dance performance to wrap up your day.
Day 2: Kandy to Nuwa ra Eliya - The Hill Country Beckons
After breakfast, travel to Nuwara Eliya (approx. 2.5 hrs), a colonial -era retreat nestled in the highlands. En route, visit a tea plantation and factory to experience the essence of world - renowned Ceylon tea. Once in Nu wara Eliya, explore Gregory Lake , the beautifully manicured Victoria Park , and admire the old English -style architecture. Enjoy a cozy evening in this cool mountain retreat.
Day 3: Nuwara Eliya to Bentota - From Misty Hills to Sunny Shores
Post breakfast, begin your journey to the coastal town of Bentota (approx. 5 - 6 hrs). On arrival, check in to your beach resort and unwind. Spend the rest of your day strolling along the golden beaches or simply relaxing by the pool. Watch a tropical sunset and dine on fr esh seafood by the waves.
Day 4: Bentota to Colombo - Nature & Culture in Harmony
After breakfast, enjoy a Madu River boat safari , cruising through mangrove forests and small islets. You can also visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery , a conservation site for endangered turtles. Then head to Colombo (approx. 2 hrs), where you'll enjoy a short city tour covering Independence Square , Gangaramaya Temple , and Galle Face Green . Spend the evening enjoying Colombo's food scene or shopping at Crescat Boulevard .
Day 5: Departure from Colombo
Check out after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight. Take with you a pocket full of tropical memories - of hills, heritage, beaches, and warm Sri Lankan smiles.
