Day 1: Arrival in Colombo - Drive to Spiritual Kandy
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport , meet your driver, and transfer to Kandy (approx. 3.5 - 4 hrs), Sri Lanka's cultural heartland. En route, stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage , where elephants roam freely by the rive r. On reaching Kandy, check in and unwind. In the evening, visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic , followed by a vibrant cultural dance performance showcasing Kandyan traditions.
Day 2: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya - Tea Trails & Highland Breezes
After breakfast, depart for the lush green hills of Nuwara Eliya (approx. 2.5 hrs), also known as 'Little England.' En route, visit a scenic tea plantation and factory , where you can witness tea picking and sip on freshly brewed Ceylon tea. After hotel check -in, explore Gregory Lake , stroll through Victoria Park , and admire colonial -style buildings like the Grand Hotel . End the day soaking in the cool mountain air.
Day 3: Nuwara Eliya - Leisure & Lakeside Serenity
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Nuwara Eliya. Visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens , home to rare orchids and mountain flora. You may also explore Seetha Amman Temple , linked to the Ramayana, or enjoy a horse ride by the lake. Day 4: Nuwara Eliya to Colombo - From Hills to City Life
After breakfast , check out and drive to Colombo (approx. 5.5 - 6 hrs). Once in the city, take a panoramic city tour covering Galle Face Green , Independence Square , Old Parliament Building , and Gangaramaya Temple . Shop for souvenirs at Pettah Market or enjoy the modern vibe at Dutch Hospital Precinct . The evening is free to explore Colombo's vibrant culinary or nightlife scene.
Day 5: Departure from Colombo
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your return flight, taking with you the aroma of tea leaves and the tranquillity of the hills.
