Day 1: Arrival in Colombo - Cultural Welcome in Kandy
Land at Bandaranaike International Airport and immediately set out for Kandy , Sri Lanka's cultural capital (approx. 3.5 - 4 hrs). On the way, stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and witness elephants bathing in the river. Arrive in Kan dy by late afternoon, check in to your hotel, and visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic . In the evening, enjoy a traditional cultural dance show followed by local dinner.
Day 2: Kandy to Bentota - From Highlands to Coastline
After breakfast, depart for the sun -kissed beaches of Bentota (approx. 5 - 6 hrs). En route, enjoy scenic views of rivers, plantations, and local villages. On arrival, check in to your beachfront resort. Relax by the ocean, take a dip in the sea, or go for a sunset walk along the golden sands. If time permits, try optional water sports or visit the nearby Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda.
Day 3: Bentota to Colombo - River Safari to City Sights
Post breakfast, go on a Madu River boat safari through mangrove forests and peaceful islands. Then proceed to Colombo (approx. 2 hrs). Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour including Gangaramaya Temple , Independence Memorial Hall , and the scenic Galle Face Green . Explore Pettah Market for local shopping or dine at a rooftop restaur ant for a city view by night.
Day 4: Departure from Colombo
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight. Take back memories of vibrant cities, sacred shrines, and golden beaches from this quick yet fulfilling Sri Lankan escape.
