Daywise itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Mangalore - Scenic Drive to Dharmasthala
Arrive at Mangalore and begin your spiritual journey with a serene drive through the Western Ghats to Dharmasthala (approx. 75 km / 2.5 hrs). Check in to a pilgrim stay or resort. In the evening, visit the Shri Manjunatha Temple , a sacred Shaiva -Kshetra known for its unique blend of Jain administration and Hindu worship. Witness the temple rituals and evening aarti. Overnight stay in Dharmasthala.
Day 2: Spiritual Exploration of Dharmasthala
After a traditional South Indian breakfast, visit Bahubali Gomateshwara Statue on Ratnagiri Hill and explore the Manjusha Museum , which houses ancient coins, manuscripts, vintage cars, and artifacts. Rest and relax amid the calm temple surroundings. You may als o take part in Anna Dana (community meal) at the temple. Overnight stay in Dharmasthala.
Day 3: Journey to Kukke Subramanya - The Abode of the Snake God
Check out and proceed to Kukke Subramanya (approx. 1.5 hrs). On arrival, visit the famous Subramanya S wamy Temple , revered for Sarpa Dosha Nivarana Poojas . Spend time walking along the Kumaradhara River or visit Adi Subramanya Temple. Overnight stay in Kukke.
Day 4: Scenic Drive to Horanadu - The Goddess of Abundance
After breakfast, drive towards Horanad u Annapoorneshwari Temple (approx. 4 hrs), nestled in the lush hills of Chikkamagaluru district. Seek blessings at the Annapoorneshwari Temple , where Goddess Parvati is worshipped as the provider of food. Participate in the simple but divine temple meals. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere amidst greenery. Overnight stay in Horanadu.
Day 5: Transfer to Udupi - The Land of Krishna
After breakfast, a short drive takes you to Pattadakal (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Visit the stunning Virupaksha Temple, Mallikarjuna Temple, and Sangameshwara Temple - examples of early Hindu temple architecture in both Dravidian and Nagar a styles. Overnight in Pattadakal or Badami (as per availability).
Day 6: Explore Mangalore - Departure
After breakfast, proceed to Mangalore (approx. 1.5 hrs). Depending on your departure time, you can visit Kadri Manjunath Temple, Mangaladevi Temple, and St. Aloysius Chapel. Shop for coastal spices or traditional snacks like Mangalore Banana Chips. Later, drop at airport or railway station for your onward journey.
