Day 1: Arrival in Calicut - Coastal Flavors & Colonial Charm
Arrive in Calicut and transfer to your hotel. Begin your journey with a visit to the historical Kappad Beach where Vasco da Gama first landed, followed by a stroll through the ancient Mittai Theruvu (Sweet Street) for traditional Calicut halwa. Explore Paz hassi Raja Museum or the Mananchira Square before enjoying a delicious coastal dinner featuring Malabar biryani. Overnight in Calicut.
Day 2: Journey to Wayanad - Into the Highlands
Post breakfast, check out and drive to Wayanad (approx. 3.5 hours). On ar rival, check in to a scenic hillside resort nestled in the lush greenery. Relax and enjoy your resort's amenities or take a short evening walk through the nearby plantations. The day is at leisure to embrace the refreshing mountain air. Overnight stay in W ayanad.
Day 3: Wayanad Exploration - Nature's Hidden Secrets
After breakfast, embark on a full -day sightseeing tour of Wayanad. Visit the ancient Edakkal Caves adorned with stone age carvings, followed by Meenmutty or Soochipara Waterfalls depending on yo ur preference for hiking or sightseeing. In the afternoon, visit the scenic Pookode Lake and conclude the day at the Banasura Sagar Dam. Return to your resort for a cozy dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure from Calicut - A Mountain Farewell
Check out after breakfast and drive back to Calicut. If time permits, shop for spices, handicrafts, or banana chips at the local market before heading to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
