Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar - Welcome to the Jewel of the Valley
Arrive at Srinagar Airport and transfer to your hotel/houseboat. Begin your journey with a calm Shikara ride on Dal Lake , followed by a visit to the Mughal Gardens - Nishat, Shalimar, and Chashme Shahi. Overni ght stay in Srinagar.
Day 2: Srinagar - Culture, Craft & Spiritual Vibes
Start the day at Shankaracharya Temple for panoramic views of the city. Later, visit Hazratbal Shrine and the vibrant Meena Bazaar for souvenirs. Try a traditional Wazwan meal in the evening. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 3: Srinagar _ Pahalgam - Into the Lidder Valley (90 km / ~3 hrs)
Drive to Pahalgam , en route visiting the Avantipur Ruins and saffron fields of Pampore. Arrive and relax by the Lidder River or take a nature walk. Optional pony rides available. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Day 4: Pahalgam - Explore Betaab & Aru Valleys
After breakfast, take a local cab to explore Betaab Valley , Aru Valley , or Chandanwari - each offering dramatic landscapes and peaceful surrou ndings. Enjoy some leisure time back in town. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Day 5: Pahalgam _ Sonmarg - Meadows & Mountain Air (185 km / ~5.5 hrs)
Drive back to Srinagar after breakfast. En route, soak in final views of the countryside. Check - in to a houseboat/hotel. Later, visit Hazratbal Shrine or stroll through the vibrant local bazaars . Overnight in Srinagar.
Day 6: Sonmarg _ Gulmarg - Snow Peaks & Gondolas (125 km / ~4 hrs)
Post breakfast, journey to Gulmarg , known for its meadows and snow sports. Enjoy the wor ld- famous Gondola ride to Apharwat Peak (optional), or stroll around the lush Gulmarg Golf Course . Overnight stay in Gulmarg.
Day 7: Gulmarg _ Katra - Down to the Divine (270 km / ~7 - 8 hrs)
Early morning, depart for Katra , the base town for Mata Vaishno Devi. En route, stop at scenic spots and enjoy lunch in the mountains. Check -in at your hotel in Katra and rest for the night. Overnight stay in Katra.
Day 8: Vaishno Devi Darshan - Divine Trek
Begin your 14 km trek to Vaishno Devi Bhawan early morning (p onies/helicopters available). After darshan, return to Katra and relax after the divine journey. Overnight stay in Katra.
Day 9: Departure from Jammu
After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Jammu Railway Station or Airport for your return journey.
