After an early breakfast, drive to Guptkashi (approx. 7 - 8 hrs), a beautiful village nestled in the Mandakini valley. Enjoy the journey through the changing Himalayan landscape. Upon arrival, check in to a comfortable hillside lodge or deluxe retreat. If time permits, visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple and Ardhanareshwar Temple. Dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi.
Day 3: Journey to Kedarnath - The Sacred Trek Begins
Today marks the spiritual highpoint of your trip. Early morning, drive to Gaurikund (approx. 1 hr), the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath Dham (16 km). Begin your spiritual trek on foot, by pony, or take a helicopter (pre-booking recommended) for an easier ascent. On arrival, check in to a guesthouse or dharamshala (basic but clean accommodation). In the evening, attend the divine evening aarti at Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Overnight stay in Kedarnath.
Day 4: Return to Guptkashi - Peaceful Descent
Wake up in the pristine Himalayan air and seek blessings once more at the Kedarnath Temple. After breakfast, trek back to Gaurikund and return to Guptkashi by vehicle. Relax and recover from the journey amidst scenic surroundings. Enjoy a hearty dinner and reflect on your divine experience. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.
Day 5: Drive Back to Haridwar - Time to Rejuvenate
Post breakfast, drive to Badrinath (approx. 7 - 8 hrs), enjoying breathtaking Himalayan scenery along the Joshimath route. Upon arrival, check in to a hotel. In the evening, visit the majestic Badrinath Temple, take a holy dip in the Tapt Kund, and participate in evening aarti. Optional visit to Mana Village, the last Indian village before Tibet.
