Daywise itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar - Spiritual Welcome
Arrive at Srinagar Airport and transfer to your hotel/houseboat. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon with a Shikara ride on Dal Lake , followed by a visit to the Mughal Gardens - Nishat, Shalimar, and Chashme Shahi. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 2: Srinagar _ Sonmarg - Gateway to the Yatra (80 km / ~2.5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Sonmarg , the base for Baltal - the shorter route to Amarnath Cave. En route, enjoy views of the Sindh River , pine forests, and snow -capped mountains. On arrival, check -in to your hotel/camp and prepare for the next day's yatra. Overnight stay in Sonmarg.
Day 3: Amarnath Yatra - Divine Pilgrimage by Helicopter
Early morning, drive to the Baltal Helipad for your helicopter ride to Panchtarni (advance booking requir ed). From Panchtarni, begin a 6 km trek (one -way) to the Amarnath Cave - the holy shrine of the Ice Lingam of Lord Shiva. After darshan, return to Baltal and transfer to Sonmarg. Overnight stay in Sonmarg. Note: Ponies/palkis are available from Panchtarni for those who cannot trek.
Day 4: Sonmarg _ Srinagar - Rest, Reflect & Relax
After a rejuvenating morning in Sonmarg, return to Srinagar. Check -in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Visit Shankaracharya Temple or unwind in a caf' by Dal or Nigeen L ake. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 5: Departure from Srinagar
Check out early and proceed to Sonmarg , passing scenic meadows and pine forests. On arrival, explore the Thaji was Glacier by pony (optional). Relax by the Sindh River in the evening. Overnight stay in Sonmarg.

_ Yatra Season: Usually July to mid-August, dates vary by year and are announced by the
Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. _ Temperature Range: o Srinagar: 15°C to 30°C o Sonmarg/Baltal: 5°C to 20°C (colder in early mornings and nights) o Panchtarni/Cave: Can drop to 0°C or lower, carry thermal wear.
Wazwan items: Rogan Josh, Dum Aloo, Rajma Gogji
Drinks: Hot Kahwa or Noon Chai after a long trek
Snacks: Dry fruits, Lavasa (local bread), Seekh Kebabs
_ Medical fitness certificate is mandatory for Yatra registration.
_ Advance helicopter bookings are highly recommended (via shrine board or authorized
portals).
_ Trek can be moderately tough; senior citizens should consult a doctor.
