Day 1: Arrival in Colombo - Transfer to Kandy, the Cultural Gem
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo and proceed to Kandy (approx. 3.5 - 4 hrs). On the way, stop by the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to watch elephants bathe in the river. Once in Kandy, check in to your hotel and spend your evening enjoying a traditional Kandyan dance performance followed by a local Sri Lankan dinner.
Day 2: Kandy Heritage Tour - Temples, Gardens & Traditions
After breakfast, begin your exploration with a visit to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic , nestled beside the tranquil Kandy Lake . Continue to the stunning Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya and later, visit a Gems Museum or a Spice Garden to learn a bout Sri Lanka's natural wealth. End the day with shopping at Kandy Market or a peaceful walk near the lake.
Day 3: Drive to Nuwara Eliya - Tea Estates & Colonial Charm
After breakfast, head to Nuwara Eliya , Sri Lanka's cool hill station (approx. 2.5 hrs) . En route, visit a lush tea plantation and factory , where you can sip on fresh Ceylon tea. On arrival, explore Gregory Lake , admire colonial -era buildings like the Post Office , and unwind in the cool, English - style ambiance of this highland town.
Day 4: N uwara Eliya to Bentota - A Scenic Transition to the Sea
Today, embark on a scenic journey down to the beachside paradise of Bentota (approx. 5 - 6 hrs). Upon arrival, check in to your resort and spend your evening unwinding on the sandy shores. Relax by the sea or enjoy a sunset beach walk before dinner under the stars.
Day 5: Leisure in Bentota - Beach, Water Sports & Boat Safari
Enjoy a full day at leisure. Adventure seekers can try jet skiing , banana boat rides , or snorkeling . Alternatively, go on the tr anquil Madu River boat safari , weaving through mangrove forests and small islands. Visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery to witness turtle conservation up close. Return to your resort for a peaceful night by the ocean.
Day 6: Bentota to Colombo - From Coastal Calm to City Buzz
After breakfast, depart for Colombo (approx. 2 hrs). On arrival, enjoy a panoramic Colombo city tour , visiting landmarks like Galle Face Green , Independence Square , Old Parliament , and Gangaramaya Temple . Dive into Colombo's nightlife, t ry street food, or explore shopping hubs like Crescat Boulevard and Pettah Bazaar .
Day 7: Departure from Colombo
Post breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight home, bringing with your memories of tea -cloaked mountains, warm waves, and rich culture.
