Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrival in Colombo - Drive to Cultural Kandy
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo and transfer directly to the lush, hill - bound city of Kandy (approx. 3.5 - 4 hrs). En route, stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage , where rescued elephants roam freely. On arrival in Kandy, check in to your hotel and unwind. Later, enjoy a cultural evening with a traditional Kandyan dance performance followed by a leisurely dinner.
Day 2: Kandy Sightseeing - Temples, Lakes & Local Li fe
Post breakfast, explore the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic , Sri Lanka's most sacred Buddhist site. Stroll around the scenic Kandy Lake , visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya , and browse the Kandy Bazaar for spices, crafts, and gemstones. Th e cool climate and misty hills offer a peaceful atmosphere as you wrap up your day with serene views.
Day 3: Drive to Nuwara Eliya - Tea Country Charm
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya , known as 'Little England' for its colonial ch arm and cool climate (approx. 2.5 hrs). En route, visit a tea plantation and factory , where you can sample fresh Ceylon tea. On arrival, check in and visit Gregory Lake , Victoria Park , and admire the Tudor -style architecture. Enjoy a relaxing evening in th is hillside town.
Day 4: Nuwara Eliya to Bentota - From Hills to Coastline
Leave the hills behind as you journey down to the golden beaches of Bentota (approx. 5 - 6 hrs). Upon arrival, check into your beach resort and spend the afternoon unwinding. Walk al ong the soft sands or dip into the ocean. In the evening, enjoy fresh seafood by the shore as the sun sets on Sri Lanka's southwest coast.
Day 5: Bentota to Colombo - Beach to City
After breakfast, you may choose to indulge in optional water sports at Bentota Beach or take a peaceful Madu River boat safari through mangroves and islets. Later, drive to Colombo (approx. 2 hrs), Sri Lanka's buzzing capital. In Colombo, enjoy a panoramic city tour covering Galle Face Green , Independence Square , Gangaramaya Tem ple, and local shopping hubs like Odel or Pettah Market .
Day 6: Departure from Colombo
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your return flight. Take home cherished memories of Sri Lanka's diverse charm - from cool hills and tea estat es to beaches and buzzing cities.
