Day 1: Arrival in Colombo - Welcome to the Island Capital
Touch down at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. Meet your driver and check in to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short Colombo city tour , visiting highlig hts like Galle Face Green , Independence Square , and Gangaramaya Temple . Grab a quick bite at a local restaurant or explore Pettah Market before resting for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Colombo to Sigiriya - Ancient Rock Fortress & Village Charm
After break fast, drive to Sigiriya in the Cultural Triangle (approx. 4.5 hrs). Visit the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress , a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its frescoes, lion -pawed staircases, and stunning panoramic views. Later, you can take an optional village safari in Hiriwadunna to experience rural Sri Lankan life. Check in to your resort amidst lush greenery.
Day 3: Sigiriya to Kandy - Spice Trails & Sacred Temples
Drive to Kandy (approx. 2.5 - 3 hrs). En route, stop at Matale Spice Garden and discover the secrets behind Sri Lanka's world -famous spices. Arrive in Kandy and visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic , believed to house Buddha's tooth. In the evening, enjoy a lively Kandyan dance performance and take a walk around Kandy Lake before checking in fo r the night.
Day 4: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya - Tea Country & Colonial Charms
After breakfast, head to Nuwara Eliya (approx. 2.5 hrs). On the way, explore a tea plantation and factory , and taste freshly brewed Ceylon tea. In Nuwara Eliya, visit Gregory Lake , Seetha Amman Temple , and stroll through the charming town known as 'Little England.' Check in to your colonial -style hotel and enjoy the cool, misty evening.
Day 5: Nuwara Eliya to Bentota - Beach Time Begins
Post breakfast, descend from the hills to Bent ota, a serene coastal town (approx. 5 - 6 hrs). Check into your beach resort and relax by the golden sands or pool. Unwind with optional water sports like jet skiing or simply take a sunset walk along the beach. Enjoy a delicious seafood dinner under the stars.
Day 6: Bentota to Colombo - River Safari & Return to City Life
Enjoy a Madu River boat safari in the morning, gliding past mangroves and tiny islets. You may also visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery to learn about sea turtle conservation. Later, drive t o Colombo (approx. 2 hrs). Check in and explore the city's shopping hubs like Dutch Hospital Precinct or dine at a stylish rooftop restaurant.
Day 7: Departure from Colombo
After breakfast, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your flight home. Leave with a heart full of memories - from ancient citadels and temple trails to hilltop breezes and beachside bliss.
