Day 1: Arrival in Thimphu - Calm Capital Among the Clouds
Arrive at Paro International Airport and drive to Thimphu , Bhutan's serene capital (approx. 1.5 hrs). En route, pause at Tamchog Lhakhang , home to the iron bridge built by the legendary architect Thangtong Gyalpo . After check -in, relax and soak in the mountain air. In the evening, take a walk along Norzin Lam , visit craft shops, and try your first cup of Bhutanese butter tea or locally brewed ara.
Day 2: Thimphu Exploration - From Giants to Monasteries
Start your sightseeing with the awe -inspiring Buddha Dordenma , a colossal statue overlooking the valley. Then head to the Memorial Chorten , a vibrant place of worship. Visit the School of Arts & Crafts , Folk Heritage Museum , and the National Library to understand Bh utan's spiritual and artistic traditions. In the evening, visit the stunning Tashichho Dzong , lit beautifully after dusk.
Day 3: Drive to Paro - Valleys, Fortresses & Himalayan Charm
After breakfast, drive to Paro (approx. 1.5 hrs). On arrival, check in a nd start exploring. Visit the impressive Rinpung Dzong , then stroll across the charming cantilever bridge to Ta Dzong , now the National Museum . Day 4: Hike to Tiger's Nest - Bhutan's Most Iconic Experience
Get ready for the ultimate Bhutanese experience - the hike to the sacred Tiger's Nest Monastery (Taktsang) , a highlight of your trip. This moderate 4 - 5-hour hike leads you to a spiritual sanctuary perched on a sheer cliff, offering views and peace that stay with you forever. After descending, you may choose to indulge in a traditional hot stone bath to rejuvenate your body.
Day 5: Hidden Gems of Paro - Spiritual Walks & Scen ic Retreats
Enjoy a relaxed start to the day. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang , one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan. Explore the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong , offering stunning views of Mt. Jomolhari on a clear day. Later, take an optional nature walk thr ough Paro's lush fields or spend the afternoon at leisure, perfecting the art of doing nothing in the land of Gross National Happiness.
Day 6: Departure from Paro
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Paro International Airport for yo ur flight. With your heart filled with calm and clarity, you leave Bhutan behind, but its peaceful rhythm remains with you.
